Simplified Kundalini Yoga can easily be learned by beginners. As a beginner you are initiated into Kundalini Yoga by the trained teacher by first raising your kundalini from Mooladhara Chakra to Ajna Chakra. After a few days, your life energy is brought back to Mooladhara using a process called Shanthi meditation.
Once you have learned these two levels kundalini yoga is safe to practice at any time. Your brain will learn to operate at Alpha level of frequency during Ajna meditation.
Advanced level practices include meditating in Thuriyam and Thuriyatheetham levels of Theta and Delta frequencies.
